The Geisha Collection

In early 2024, I began a deeply personal series inspired by the poignant story of Sadako Sasaki and the enduring Japanese legend of the thousand paper cranes. According to tradition, folding 1,000 origami cranes grants the folder a single heartfelt wish. Like Sadako, I fold each crane with quiet intention—my wish is for peace.

The paper crane has since become a recurring motif throughout my work—a gentle yet powerful symbol of hope, love, healing, and peace in times of uncertainty. Through this evolving series, I aim to "write peace upon their wings and let them fly all over the world."
