Natalie Briney Artist
'Wonderfall Orange' Abstract Pansy Flower
2023
From My Solo Exhibition 'Oshibana'
Acrylic on Canvas
Unframed, sides are gallery finished and comes ready to hang
92 (W) x 102 cm (H) x 4cm (D)
Painted for my 7th Solo Exhibition at Red Gallery in March 2023, this new abstract floral series titled 'Oshibana' is inspired by the ancient Japanese art form of drying and pressing flowers. With this new body of work, I wanted to capture the feeling and textures of a dried and flattened Pansy flower. This heavily textured Abstract Floral Painting plays on a thick textured canvas base and has layers of moulding and crackle paste to add texture and depth, with shades of light and dark orange acrylic paint for the flower and a dark copper background giving richness and depth to this piece.
This original painting will NEVER be reproduced in any other format (eg print or NFT), so you can enjoy the benefits of knowing that this is a one-of-a-kind, made especially for your home.
Signed and dated on the back and comes with a Certificate of Authentication.
This piece is created on a 40mm frame-wrapped canvas, sealed with fixative and a triple gloss coat, gallery-finished edges, ready to hang.
