Whicher National Park
Painted for the Margaret River Open Studios
Acrylic on Canvas
20.5 cm (W) x 25.5 cm (H) x 1.5cm (D)
Please note this canvas is only single thickness and although it comes with wire on the back and sides are finished off so it can therefore be hung on a wall. However, I would definitely recommend that it would look better framed. The second image here is a mockup photo of what the canvas would look like framed.
This heavily textured Abstract painting, plays on a thick textured base and has over layers of acrylic paint, moulding and crackle paste. With shades of blues and silver this painting is inspired by the colours and feelings of a beautiful misty morning in Margaret River.
This body of work has been inspired by the beautiful bushland I walk through each day on the lands of the traditional Wadandi and Pibelman with my dog Mia. My home farm backs on to the Blackwood River and as far as the eye can see, I am surrounded by an ever-changing vista of Australian native fauna and flora and I cannot help but be inspired by the colours I see, the sounds I hear, the feelings of peace, timelessness, wonderment and the realisation that I am never alone.
This original painting will NEVER be sold as a print, so you can enjoy the benefits of knowing that is a one off piece, especially for your home.
Signed on the back.
