This gorgeous Dahlia abstract floral painting offers a striking aesthetic for any space. Its vivid hues and intricate design make it a bold statement piece for any home or office.

'Tangerine Dreams' has layers and layers of mark-making, textures and colour. If you scroll through to the close-up photos of this painting, you will be able to see some of the layers peaking through.  Shades of white, dark blue, ochre, teal and a pop of fluorescent orange make up the abstract background, with mark-making in crayon, pencil, and paint. The Dahlia's are hand drawn onto music sheet paper, and then a series of what I call 'dotting work or pointillism' is applied on top of the flowers to give this piece an even more 3D effect. The canvas has a base layer of molding and crackle paste, so the name and title are written on to the back of the painting.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Natalie is a Western Australian Artist who lives and works South of Margaret River on her family's farm.

Her love of the colours of the bushland she is surrounded by, country living and the native fauna and flora inspire her works today.
