This heavily textured Abstract Floral Painting plays on a thick textured canvas base and has layers of moulding and crackle paste to add texture and depth. Inspired by the Rosa Setigera or Prairie Rose, I have used varying shades of pink on the outer petals and darker pink in the centre of the rose, with flecks of white, magenta and some fluorescent green all over, plus my usual mark-making with pen, paint and oil pastels. The background is a dark magenta colour, which really makes this piece pop!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Natalie is a Western Australian Artist who lives and works South of Margaret River on her family's farm.

Her love of the colours of the bushland she is surrounded by, country living and the native fauna and flora inspire her works today.
