Margaret River Brew
2022
Painted for the Margaret River Open Studios
Acrylic on Canvas
Unframed
30.5 cm (W) x 30.5 cm (H) x 4 cm (D)
This heavily textured Abstract painting, plays on a thick textured base and has over layers of acrylic paint, moulding and crackle paste with shades of greens and bronze to reflect the beautiful colours of one of our local National Parks in Western Australia.
Painted for my second year participating in the Margaret River Open Studios 2022, at the Margaret River HEART in August and September of 2022.
This body of work has been inspired by the beautiful bushland I walk through each day on the lands of the traditional Wadandi and Pibelman with my dog Mia. My home farm backs on to the Blackwood River and as far as the eye can see, I am surrounded by an ever-changing vista of Australian native fauna and flora and I cannot help but be inspired by the colours I see, the sounds I hear, the feelings of peace, timelessness, wonderment and the realisation that I am never alone.
This original painting will NEVER be sold as a print, so you can enjoy the benefits of knowing that is a one off piece, especially for your home.
Signed on the back.
This piece is created on a 25mm frame wrapped canvas, sealed with fixative and a triple gloss coat, gallery finished edges and ready to hang.
