'Debbie Harry is an American singer, songwriter, actress and style icon, best known as the lead vocalist of the band Blondie, who were seen as pioneers of the early American new wave and punk scenes of the mid to late 70's.

Of all of Blondie's songs, my favourite was 'Heart of Glass' and when I first saw the video of this song, I wanted so badly to be Debbie. Beautiful, stylish, blonde, edgy with heart shaped lips and a killer voice!'

This heavily textured Abstract Portrait of Debbie, plays on a thick textured canvas base of moulding and crackle paste. It has layers of paper, acrylic paint, pen, pencil and spray paint.
