This painting speaks to the good, the bad and the ugly of an Australian Bushfire. The Good - a significant proportion of our threatened flora are known to emerge after a bushfire, having possibly been dormant for decades or more. The Bad - bushfires in Australia can impact extensive areas, cause property damage and take the lives of humans and wildlife. That is why I am donating 100% of the sale of this painting to the 'Adopt a Koala' fund.
"The Australian Government has now officially listed koalas as an endangered species in Queensland, New South Wales, and the Australian Capital Territory".
These poor beautiful creatures are now at a critical crossroads as they also face threats from deadly disease as well as climate disasters. Their populations are still recovering from the devastating 2019-20 bushfires, which killed more than 6,000 in NSW alone.
This original painting will NEVER be sold as a print, so you can enjoy the benefits of knowing that is a one off piece, especially for your home.
