Boranup Fires
2022
From The 'Dig Deep' Exhibition
Acrylic on Canvas
Unframed
51cm (W) x 51 cm (H) x 4cm (D)
This heavily textured Abstract painting, plays on a thick textured base and has over layers of acrylic paint with various shades of reds, browns and golds, with a lot of deep cracking.
This painting has been inspired by the colours of one of our recent bushfires that happened in December 2021 at Boranup Forest.
Painted for my sixth solo exhibition 'Dig Deep' at the Margaret River HEART in August 2022, this painting was inspired by the beautiful bushland I walk through each day on the lands of the traditional Wadandi and Pibelman with my dog Mia. My home farm backs on to the Blackwood River and as far as the eye can see, I am surrounded by an ever-changing vista of Australian native fauna and flora and I cannot help but be inspired by the colours I see, the sounds I hear, the feelings of peace, timelessness, wonderment and the realisation that I am never alone.
This original painting will NEVER be sold as a print, so you can enjoy the benefits of knowing that is a one off piece, especially for your home.
Signed on the back.
This piece is created on a 40mm frame wrapped canvas, sealed with fixative and a triple gloss coat, gallery finished edges and ready to hang.
