Hey everyone and welcome to the first Ask Nat. Just a re-cap - "what is Ask Nat"? In short, it is my WEEKLY - Answer (A) to a Question (Q) submitted from someone awesome like you! From Start to Finish - danse de famille colibri

or  in English - "Hummingbird Family Dancing" This painting has been a gift straight from my heart to the Mosnier family. With the birth of their second child - Clara on the 04.02, their little family went from 3 to 4.  So I just couldn't resist doing 4 hummingbird's in this painting. Here are some progress photo's -   first layer down some colour added    a tree and some branches the hummingbird family and a few blossoms   and the finished product 36 x 48 inches as always, thank you for popping by   Nat xx

Ask Nat?

So what exactly is Ask Nat? Ok so let me break it down a bit... Over time, I have been asked a number of questions like -  what products do I use for such and such a technique; or how do I get a particular texture; what brand of paint do I use etc etc. I don't claim to be an expert by any means, but I do like to help out where I can and when I can. However I am a mother, a wife, a dog owner and I do have lots of other 'stuff' I need to get done...

Ok so hand up all those obsessed with Frida Kahlo?... **SILENCE**  **SOUND OF CRICKETS CHIRPING** Alrighty so maybe not everyone is as O.B.S.E.S.S.E.D. with her as me, but I tell you, I just can't get enough of painting her. I'm not past that 'phase' yet and don't really know if I ever will be.  But what I do like to do, is mix things up a bit, whether it's a different background colour or colours.
